Companies shed some 533,000 jobs in November, making for the worst round of job cuts since 1974, contributing to what is likely to be the longest "recession" since the Great Depression of the 1930s. (For some thoughts on the use of the "D" word, check out my piece on that subject here.)
Meanwhile, president-elect Barack Obama is talking stimulus plan.
Of course, so did Clinton before him, and we all know what came of that, so we'll just wait and see.
